Commonly used for private driveways, pavements and footpaths, our landscapers, can provide bespoke Resin-Bound Gravel applications for both the private and commercial sectors. Blue Rock Group can apply these materials to develop beautiful driveways and pedestrian paths.
With eco-friendly properties and a semi-natural appearance, Resin-Bound Gravel is unmatched by any other paving alternative. The material is also apparent with non-slip features to provide maximum safety to the user, making it an efficient resource.
This material involves the combination of two-part polyurethane resin and natural aggregate, creating different masses that can be used for a range of purposes. We apply 18mm for areas susceptible to traffic and 12mm sizes for pedestrian uses. The curing time can differ, ranging from six to twelve hours depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
When you search for a Resin-Bound surfacing contractor, it can be quite the challenge, especially since you have to do all your research before you commit. Our clients have shown us poor quality resin work and unlevelled surfaces due to previous inconsistency.
At Blue Rock Group we only use BBA approved aggregate and Resin ensuring optimum durability and aesthetics for the required project. Our confidence is so secure that we offer our customers a statutory 8-year guarantee on all Resin products.
Another advantage we can offer in comparison to other contractors is the ability to lay porous tarmac before the Resin-Bound application, which usually requires the need for a substitute firm. At Blue Rock, we have both Tarmac and Resin Installers
Resin-Bound Gravel and SUDS
What is SUDS and SUDS compliance?
Regulations for sustainable drainage:
The UK Government established guidelines called SUDS (Sustainable Drainage System). These standards aim to ensure surfaces are designed and built to reduce flood risk and manage drainage in a way that is safe and responsible.
How our Resin-Bound Surface is SUDS compliant:
Resin-Bound surfacing provides a water-permeable surface when applied over open-grade binder asphalt. The Resin-Bound mixture has open voids across the surface, allowing surface water to filter through the structure of the material. Resin Bound Gravel is suitable for driveways, paths, tree pits and areas prone to standing water that requires SUDS compliancy.
